Tricia joined HMI in 2001, having previously been a headteacher of three schools in Oxfordshire for twelve years.  She was appointed by the Secretary of State to the Teacher Training Agency Board in 1997 and served for three years as a board member. As an HMI, she has inspected schools, including service children’s education schools in Germany, initial teacher training at degree and postgraduate level in universities and colleges, and schools in special measures. She has also been involved in survey work and has authored national thematic reports on behalf of Ofsted.  Tricia was appointed Principal Officer for Initial Teacher Education and Specialist Commissioned Inspections in September 2009, and is the Ofsted assessor on the board of the Training and Development Agency.
