HEBRG has published its review of the current non-HE regulatory landscape and its impact on higher education institutions. This report was delivered to the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills in November 2011.
The report is based on the research undertaken on behalf of HEBRG by Capita Consulting in response to the issues raised in the recent White Paper (paragraph 6.19).
It provides information on the impact on higher education institutions of a wide range of regulatory requirements, including health and safety, planning, equal opportunities, Freedom of Information, procurement and employment law. The report makes 16 prioritised recommendations across six areas, identifying potential areas for deregulation while safeguarding students and taxpayers.
